Livingston County Department of Health

Livingston County Mental Health

Is a county-operated outpatient clinic licensed by the New York State Office of Mental Health. We provide services to children and adults with mental health needs. These issues may be the result of stress, significant changes in a person’s/family’s life, or may be more chronic in nature. Our staff includes psychiatrists, therapists (social workers and counselors), nurses, nurse practitioners, and care managers.

New York State Office of Addiction and Supports

The New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) oversees one of the nation’s largest Substance Use Disorder systems of care with approximately 1,700 prevention, treatment and recovery programs serving over 730,000 individuals per year. This includes the direct operation of 12 Addiction Treatment Centers where our doctors, nurses, and clinical staff provide inpatient and residential services to over 5,000 individuals per year. OASAS is the single designated state agency responsible for the coordination of state-federal relations in the area of addiction services.

The 988 Lifeline is for everyone. Through the 988 Lifeline, you have access to free, quality, one-on-one assistance. Skilled, judgment-free counselors provide compassionate support 24/7.

211 Lifeline

211/LIFE LINE provides information and referral for human services and crisis/ suicide prevention services serving Monroe, Wayne, Cayuga, Ontario, Livingston, and Seneca County. 211/LIFE LINE is committed to providing compassionate service for those struggling and in crisis.

Rochester Psychiatric Center Mobile Integration Team

The Rochester Mobile Integration Team (MIT) is designed to provide the clinical intervention and support necessary for adults with serious mental illness to not only remain in the community, but also continue moving forward on their recovery journey.

Livingston County Mobile Mental Health Team for Youth

“Rochester Psychiatric Center has been a provider of mental health services to the greater Rochester community for over 125 years. We deliver specialized inpatient care as well as a full range of supportive outpatient services. We provide care to all individuals regardless of their ability to pay.

The Dwyer Program is a peer support program designed to serve veterans in Livingston County.

New York State HOPEline

The NYS HOPEline is a telephone support and referral line that is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Trained masters level clinicians are available to answer your questions and help find you problem gambling treatment and/ or self-help in your area. Whether you are struggling with gambling, alcohol, drugs or suicide, anonymous and confidential support is available. All calls are confidential.

Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration

SAMHSA’s National Helpline, 1-800-662-HELP (4357) (also known as the Treatment Referral Routing Service), or TTY: 1-800-487-4889 is a confidential, free, 24-hour-a-day, 365-day-a-year, information service, in English and Spanish, for individuals and family members facing mental and/or substance use disorders.

Livingston Area Intergroup

Alcoholics Anonymous® is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.

Narcotics Anonymous

The name Narcotics Anonymous is not meant to imply a focus on any particular drug; NA’s approach makes no distinction between drugs, including alcohol. Membership is free, and we have no affiliation with any organizations outside of NA including governments, religions, law enforcement groups, or medical and psychiatric associations. Through all of our service efforts and our cooperation with others seeking to help addicts, we strive to reach a day when every addict in the world has an opportunity to experience our message of recovery in their own language and culture.

ROCovery Outreach Center

ROCovery Fitness is a supportive community of physically active individuals brought together by sober living, committed to creating an environment of healing and recovery. Members, friends and families are empowered to discover their inner strength and confidence through adventure, fun and camaraderie.

Adventures in Recovery (AIR)

“AIR is a Recovery Community Organization (RCO) that is dedicated to providing a safe, fun, and welcoming space for individuals to connect with peer support through adventure, wellness and exciting events. Built by peers for peers, their families, and those within the recovery community that choose to live healthy lifestyles. Camaraderie built through shared lived experience, positive connections, and fun events.

We seek to empower those in recovery to build their community, discover their inner strength, and find their recovery path. The only requirement to attend any AIR event is 48 hours of continuous sobriety. Friends, family members, and those within the community are welcome to attend. All programs are FREE!”
